Pages open almost instantly
With 20,000 students online together, 95 of every 100 pages opened within 0.02 seconds. A blink of an eye takes longer.
We tested Intelversity with 20,000 students using it at the same moment, kept them on it for more than four hours, and switched off parts of it on purpose to see what students would notice. Here is what happened, in plain words.

3.7 million student actions in two separate tests, and not one of them failed.
20,000 students stayed on it for 4 hours 15 minutes. It was as fast in the last hour as in the first.
We switched off parts of the system during the test. Students saw at most one slow minute each time, and nothing was lost.
Pick a situation. Each small bar under the chart is one real minute of the test; green means pages opened fast. Press Play, or drag across the chart.
Every important part has a standby copy in a separate data centre in Mumbai. With 20,000 students online, we switched parts off on purpose.

Servers, databases and backups run in Mumbai.
Each university gets its own separate system and its own database.
Data is encrypted when it is stored and when it travels.
Nightly copies go to locked storage that no one can change or delete for 30 days.*
Two-step sign-in, and an account locks after repeated wrong passwords.
Prepared for the DPDP Act: consent for each purpose, Aadhaar numbers never stored, and a record of who did what.

Choose how many students could be online at the same moment at your busiest time. This is not your total number of students, only those using it together, such as everyone in a 10 am online class.
We would rather tell you now than have you find out later.
Our estimate says it works with bigger servers. We will test it before a university of that size goes live.
Tested with 300 students so far, and every answer was saved exactly once. We test at your size before your first big exam.
Before known busy moments, such as exams and results, we start extra servers ahead of time. A big rush with no warning has not been tested.
When 19,000 students logged in within one minute, 95 of every 100 logins finished within 6.5 seconds; our goal is 2. Pages stayed fast. A dedicated login service is built, and its test is next.
Before any test ran, we wrote down what passing means. For example, 95 of every 100 pages must open within half a second, and fewer than 1 in 1,000 actions may fail. We never changed them afterwards.
Each with a login, courses and a semester of history. No real student's data was used.
Three separate machines acted as the students. Every minute was measured, and all the records are kept.
We can run any of these tests again with your team watching.
Your IT team can see the architecture, minute-by-minute data from every run, the test rules and the security details. We share them through a personal link: ask your Intelversity contact.
